Demi the Daredevil
“A haunting sonic experience” -Erin Coulehan, Rolling Stone

Demi the Daredevil is the theatrical alternative project of Jeff Azar, an artist who transformed personal loss, and psychological hardship into an imaginative world of haunted coming-of-age stories. Blending emotionally charged alternative rock with cinematic storytelling, Demi explores identity, belonging, mental health, and the search for self through symbolic worlds inspired by Tim Burton, Edgar Allan Poe, suburban mythology, and the beauty found within darkness.
Drawing from the urgency of My Chemical Romance, the theatricality of Panic! at the Disco, the emotional honesty of Green Day, and the accessibility of modern alternative pop, Demi creates immersive songs that balance driving rock energy with vulnerable lyricism and storybook atmosphere.
Over the years, Demi has cultivated a devoted community drawn to imagination, individuality, and emotional honesty, an audience that sees the project less as a band and more as a world to inhabit. Through recurring characters, symbolic visuals, and deeply personal songwriting, the project has inspired well over 1,000+ pieces of fan art and a passionate fan culture that extends far beyond the music itself.
As an independent artist, Demi has surpassed 22 million Spotify streams, reached more than 160,000 monthly listeners, and shared stages with SkyDxddy, TX2, Capstan, Hotel Mira, WesGhost, RudyWade, and Jhariah. The project has also been featured by Emo Nite, BuzzFeed, Relix, The Punk Rock Museum, and editorial playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Trebel, and more.
